Cady Shaw—Community Voice

Cady Shaw is a historian and museum professional whose work has won several awards, both local to Oklahoma, as well as nationally. Exhibits she has curated have been displayed at the Municipal Library at Versailles in Paris, France; the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC; the Choctaw Cultural Center; and various locations throughout Oklahoma, California, and Texas. Cady has helped create six tribal museums and cultural centers, as well as over 20 touring exhibits. She serves on several professional committees in both national and international associations. Cady holds a degree from the University of Tulsa. She is a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and enjoys making art, reading, enjoying live music, traveling, writing, baking, and spending time with her family. Cady is a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma where she serves as the Director of the Woody Guthrie Center.
